I’m a freelance eyewear designer specialising in the development of optical frames and sunglasses collections.

Despite originally wanting to be a car designer I graduated with a degree in Jewellery & Metalwork in 2000, hand-making a range of experimental titanium eyewear for my degree show. Winning an eyewear design competition while still at art college led to me visiting De Rigo‘s factory in Longarone followed by my first Silmo.

Since then I have worked as a freelance eyewear designer for a range of companies and brands across Europe, North America, Asia and Australasia that has included Monoqool (since 2010), Pewpols (since 2017), Mondottica (since 2013, mainly on their United Colors of Benetton, Reebok & Hackett ranges), Cubitts, Design Eyewear Group, Götti, IC! Berlin, Finlay, Kirk Originals, Ollie Quinn, Face à Face, Oxford Vaughan, OWP Brillen, Hemp Eyewear, Tens, Fabris Lane, Danish Eyewear and more.

While some of my freelance projects have been one-offs I have also developed long-term relationships with several clients which continue to this day.

I have extensive experience of working on licensed brand collections, particularly in the Scandinavian and British markets, and on a wide range of other eyewear projects from niche and luxury products through to sports and safety eyewear.

As a trained jeweller I have an appreciation of materials, their strengths, weaknesses and limitations.

My strengths lie in producing commercial but cool shapes, incorporated into interesting but sellable concepts with attention to detailing. I have a strong track record of producing best sellers and my designs have graced numerous celebrity noses.

My inspiration comes mainly from nature, travel and architecture.
